We are officially in summer, and what a great time to do all those fun summer activities we get to enjoy this time of year!
The truth is, no matter where you go this summer season or what activities you have planned, music can only make things better!
Is there a particular type of music you are enjoying at the moment? Perhaps a band or artist you typically listen to or relate to this time of the year? If that’s the case, it’s time to create a playlist on your favorite streaming platform if you haven’t done so! So start adding some of your favorite songs and make those cool vibes be part of this summer experience!
Songwriting Challenge Winners
For the past 2 months, we hosted our second Spring Songwriting Challenge. It was a fun and exciting experience that allowed students to write an original song.
This challenge gave our students a unique experience of musical discovery. For some students that had never tried writing a song before, learning basic fundamentals gave them a new window of opportunities from a musical perspective. For some students who had previous songwriting or composition experience, the result was a fresh take on a talent they once again acknowledged.
The submissions were amazing, to say the least. We were utterly blown away by the fantastic musicians’ talent and what they had accomplished in just a few weeks. Even though it was tough to select the winning entries out of such amazing entries, we are happy to announce the winners for the 3 different age groups.
Winner (5-8 years old) – Shiloh Roberts with “Colors in the Rainbow. “
Winner (9-12 years old) – Adeline Roberts with “Flashback.”
Winner (13 and older) – Micah Magnet with “Dance Party.”
The winner of each group will receive a $30 amazon gift card sent by email.
