Kyle Franklin is an American born pianist and composer. Since childhood he has had a love of film, storytelling, and music. In high school Kyle picked up his first instrument, the guitar which later led to the piano and then ultimately to composition. When it came time to go to college there was only one place to go. While studying at Berklee College of Music he would met countless talented musicians in the form of students and professors, many of whom later became dear friends, collaborators, and mentors. In 2018 Kyle graduated with a dual major in Composition and Film Scoring summa cum laude.
After graduation Kyle picked up work for freelance films and small projects here and there and began teaching at a local music school in the Carolinas where he was able to connect two of his passions; education and music. Since then he has enjoyed the marriage of the two and finds constant excitement, growth, enjoyment, and learning opportunities from teaching each one of his amazing and unique students.
Currently Kyle resides in Los Angeles California as a composer and music educator as well as being a connoisseur of all the things life in sunny California has to offer. When Kyle is not having too much fun living life you can find him locked away in his workspace creating music for great projects with his collaborators Jasper van Dijk, It’s a Little Musical, and wonderful film makers including the Karen Twins.
