Categorized with cute lyrics and happy sounds, bubblegum dance is an actual sub genre of Eurodance. This throwback track should jog your memory.
8. Fidget House
According to The Guardian, Fidget House is “defined by snatched vocal snippets, pitch-bent dirty basslines and rave-style synth stabs over glitchy 4/4 beats.” Producers Jesse Rose and Switch coined the term, “as a joke, which has now gone a little too far.”
9. VomitStep
We’re not really sure what constitutes as VomitStep, but Snails has certainly made it a genre of his own.
10. Aquacrunk
Also known as “wonky”, aquacrunk is a genre developed by Glasgow native Rustie.
11. Skweee
With an extra ‘e’ for emphasis, Skweee is a genre that emerged out of Sweden and Finland. Originally coined by Daniel Savio in 2008, Skwee went on to influence 2nd-wave dubstep producers like Rusko and Joker.
12. Lovestep
According to the official Lovestep group on Reddit, “Lovestep has the same strong, dark, and rhythmic basslines as Dubstep, but lacks the heavy distortions commonly found in Dubstep tracks. Instead, Lovestep songs tend to have more melodic undertones, with occasional vocal sampling from western Pop and R&B tracks.”
